Rainy Marie, Graduate Student Therapist.

Grounded | Client-Led | Results-Oriented

Welcome, I’m so excited you’re ready to show up for yourself!

Hi, I’m Rainy (she/her), a Graduate Student Pre-licensed Therapist at Liz Davis Therapy Group. I will complete my Master’s of Science in Counseling Psychology at Avila University in May 2026. I’m honored to be supervised by Liz Davis, LMFT, LCMFT and welcomed into a group practice that serves EVERYONE trying to navigate our unique paths through this thing we call life. I love working with all ages, but having crossed the 50-year-old mark so I believe my gifts are best served with young adults and adults navigating life transitions, loss, growth, and the beautiful yet often difficult experience of discovering and becoming our authentic self. (I’m not telling you what I heard about, I'm telling you what I know! As the old folks used to say.)

Whether you’re stepping out of a relationship or into a new one, switching careers, managing stress, depression, anxiety, or just feeling disconnected from your own inner self. Therapy can be that place to reconnect your higher self and show up better for yourself and your loved ones. Together, we’ll create a sacred space where you can explore who you are and where you’re going.

Who I Work With and What We Work On

I excel in working with adults (18 years and up) who are navigating:

  • Major life changes: adulting, midlife, divorce, career shifts, grief, or aging

  • Identity exploration, Life Purpose, attaining success in each area of life (mentally, physically, emotionally, socially…) or simply becoming your best self

  • Overwhelm, stress, depression, anxiety or a general sense of being “stuck”

  • A desire to deepen your spirituality, intuition, or authentic self through Christianity or beyond

  • Burnout from always being the dependable one in the relationship, family, or even the friend group

  • Sports Performance - pushing outside of your comfort zone, getting comfortable being uncomfortable to go to the next level

  • Individual Relationship work: relating to adolescent & adult children, blended families, in-laws, and difficult bosses and co-workers

  • A desire to uncover and address unforgiveness, anger, implicit and explicit biases to make a more compassionate world starting from within

What you can expect in session.

Clients and my loved ones describe me as trusting, loving, and caring, but most of all honest and real. I bring a genuine love of all people, professional tools & extensive training, years of my own innerwork, plus 50+ years of personal experiences with life’s ups and downs to assist you in gaining insight, direction, better relationships, and newfound unconditional love and self-compassion for yourself.

I use a blend of my certified Enneagram training, Internal Family Systems (IFS) and TEAM-CBT to support clients in identifying patterns, connecting with their inner wisdom, and taking meaningful steps forward. The therapeutic space is ALL about you! I believe each human holds inside of themselves everything they need to navigate this human experience and my calling is to help them discover that.

Sessions with me are always as unique as the person in front of me. We might move through silence, reflection, humor, tears, or curiosity, but each session will always be centered around you, your goals, and your values at your pace. It’s not uncommon for clients to get out what they seek in just 1-4 sessions, but the key is to do the work, trust the process, and make & celebrate the progress.

Session Fee & Sliding Scale

My standard fee is $75 per 50-minute session, whether you're coming in as an individual, couple, or family. As a Graduate Student Intern, I’m committed to making therapy accessible—and I offer a limited number of sliding scale spots based on financial need.

If the full fee feels out of reach, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the office to inquire about sliding scale eligibility. You deserve support, and we’ll do our best to help make that possible.

The Person Behind The Therapist

My INFJ personality type describes me best as a “walking paradox” - an introvert who loves people! IT Computer geek for over 20 years turned neighborhood psychotherapist. Outside of becoming a therapist and maintaining my 4.0 GPA : ), I’m studying, training for marathons and senior track games. Also, working at a local high school and coaching cross country at a middle school. All while fostering meaningful, loving relationships with my family, my friends, my community, and the students and families I get to serve. I understand the value of spending time alone as well as being fueled in community with others. If you’re ready for therapy that’s supportive, honest, and human—I’d love to work with you!
