Meet Morgan Parsons, Graduate Student Therapist
I see clients in person and online!
Morgan Parsons is a Graduate Student Therapist at The Liz Davis Therapy Group and is currently completing her Master’s degree in Counseling at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. A Kansas City native, Morgan brings warmth, presence, and genuine curiosity into the therapy space, creating an environment where clients feel seen, respected, and at ease.
Morgan is naturally curious about people and the stories that shape them. She has a strong ability to notice patterns—both within individuals and across relationships—and approaches therapy with honesty, care, and compassion. Clients often experience Morgan as direct yet gentle, someone who is able to ask meaningful questions while remaining deeply supportive.
At the heart of Morgan’s work is a belief that therapy should feel human and collaborative, not clinical or prescriptive. She strives to create a space where clients don’t have to have the “right” words or a polished narrative—just a willingness to show up as they are. Morgan meets clients with openness and flexibility, honoring each person’s pace, needs, and unique way of moving through the world.
Who Morgan Works Best With
Morgan works with individuals seeking a collaborative, thoughtful therapy experience where curiosity, honesty, and compassion are central. She is especially supportive of clients who want to better understand themselves, their relationships, and long-standing patterns, and who appreciate a therapist who can gently name what she notices while remaining grounded and affirming.
Morgan may be a good fit for individuals who are:
Navigating anxiety, emotional overwhelm, or feeling “stuck”
Exploring identity, self-understanding, or personal values
Experiencing relational or family-of-origin challenges
Neurodivergent, or questioning how neurodivergence has shaped their experiences
Seeking a therapist who is collaborative, direct, and adaptable
Looking for a space where they don’t need to mask, perform, or have everything figured out

Morgan’s areas of focus include:
Anxiety, stress, and emotional overwhelm
Identity exploration and self-understanding
Family-of-origin dynamics and generational patterns
Neurodivergence and related challenges (including ADHD and autistic traits)
Communication difficulties and relational patterns
Life transitions and periods of uncertainty
Building self-awareness, boundaries, and emotional regulation skills
Morgan’s Approach to Therapy
Therapy with Morgan is a collaborative, flexible process rooted in curiosity, accessibility, and mutual respect. She believes meaningful change happens when clients feel safe enough to be honest and supported enough to explore new perspectives. Rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach, Morgan works alongside clients to shape therapy in ways that feel understandable, manageable, and relevant to their lives.
Morgan’s approach to therapy is characterized by:
Curiosity-led, collaborative conversations
Direct communication delivered with care and compassion
A strong focus on rapport, trust, and the therapeutic relationship
Flexibility and openness to client feedback and pacing
Attention to accessibility, including accommodations for neurodivergent clients
Psychoeducation that helps clients understand patterns and make informed choices
Morgan Outside of the Therapy Room
Outside of the therapy room, Morgan finds meaning through creativity, movement, and community. She has a long-standing relationship with creative writing and poetry, which she uses to process experiences, make sense of emotions, and reflect on the world around her. For Morgan, creativity is not about perfection, but about presence and expression.
Morgan also values movement as a way to stay grounded and connected. She enjoys flow-based movement practices that invite mindfulness, embodiment, and play, and she appreciates spaces that encourage curiosity and connection rather than performance. These interests reflect her broader belief that healing often happens through the integration of mind, body, creativity, and relationship.
At her core, Morgan is deeply curious about people and the ways they grow, change, and relate to one another.
