A note from Liz Davis about the threat to Trans rights in Kansas and Missouri.

The Liz Davis Therapy Group takes a firm stance against any and all federal and state legislation that threatens the inherent human dignity of our Trans community and threatens their right to simply exist without fear in our community and our country.

These are our friends, family, clients, and community members.

Let’s Get Deep with It.

Safely.

As a Queer person myself, I know how invalidating the world, and especially medical/corporate/healthcare industries, can be.

I’m here to not just create a safe space to fully express yourself, but also get past surface level and actually address the depth you came to therapy for.

I have such a reverence for the work I do. I know what an impact actually effective therapy can be, especially when it’s an amazing fit between you and your therapist.

It’s my hope to be that person for you.

Identity work, Relationships, Dealing with Parents—Let’s Do it All, Together.

As a gay therapist, I understand firsthand the beauty and challenges of moving through a world that often asks us to dim our light. My passion is creating a space where LGBTQIA+ individuals and relationships can feel fully seen, affirmed, and celebrated. In our work together, you won’t be asked to fit into outdated molds—you’ll be invited to explore, heal, and reclaim the authentic Self that has always been yours. Whether you’re navigating identity, relationships, or simply wanting a place where your whole Self is welcome, I’m here to walk alongside you with warmth, curiosity, and unwavering support.

Queer Existence is Queer Resistance

Queer is more than a label for our gender or sexuality. To "queer" something is to be outside of the white, heteronormative, patriarchal scripts that have historically dominated society. I resonate with many of our fabulous queer theorists who recognized the radical potential of queerness for deconstruction and liberation of oppressive systems. Those narratives are internalized starting at such a young age, and they continue to impact how we show up for ourselves and others. I'd love to celebrate and explore your unique queer story.

I’m Here to Challenge You in the Most Caring Way Possible.

You’re not broken, and I’m not here to fix you. But I am here to help you explore the pattern of thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and relationships that are keeping you feeling stuck. Let’s work together to explore the aspects of your Self and your identity, to help you live your most vibrant and authentic life possible. And we might have some laughs along the way.

Your a Person. Not a “Problem”.

Como terapeuta bilingüe, me enorgullece ofrecer sesiones tanto en inglés como en español.

Sex, family, identity, shame, relationships, trauma, stress, depression, anxiety—whatever you’re working through, all of you are welcome in this space. As a Queer person, I know that our sexuality is just one aspect of our person. I’m here to provide your full Self with excellent mental healthcare that doesn’t feel heavy or overly clinical. Let’s just keep it real, and I can promise that I will do everything I can to help you move towards being the version of yourself that you’ve always known was underneath all of what life’s bullshit has layered over you.

Therapy Doesn’t Have to Always Be Heavy.

Meet Tyler Johnson (he/him), a Counselor who balances the Deep Work with Deep Queer Joy.

Ready for both healing growth and authentic connection? I believe the therapeutic relationship requires that I earn your trust and respect so that you feel comfortable being your truest Self in the room.

As a Queer individual, I know how important a felt sense of safety is, and I want to provide that to you. I’ll always be honest and real, giving you “permission” to be open and raw in return. Don’t worry—It doesn’t have to be hard all the time. I strive to balance the depth of the healing work with moments of connection and laughter.
