Get to Know Harry Green.

Hi, I’m Harry Green (he/him).
I’m a Marriage and Family Therapist trained at Friends University, and I’ve been part of the Liz Davis Therapy Group longer than anyone else on the team besides Liz herself. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting individuals, couples, and families through some of life’s most complex transitions. My approach is collaborative, culturally informed, and grounded in curiosity—especially when it comes to identity, relationships, and personal growth.

Harry Green, Graduate Student Therapist at Liz Davis Therapy providing sliding scale therapy in Kansas City, MO.

The Person. Born in the UK and raised both there and in the US, my bi-cultural upbringing has instilled in me a deep appreciation for diverse perspectives and the unique stories and backgrounds each individual, couple, or family brings to therapy. Outside the therapy room, I enjoy traveling, reading, and cooking, which allows me to relax and continue my personal growth journey. Additionally, I hold a personal training certification, which complements my holistic approach to wellness, emphasizing the strong connection between mental and physical health.

The Clinician. My commitment to you as a clinician is to walk beside you. Sharing in the many emotions that come with the walk of life. I seek to lend hope when needed, share the pain of my clients and become an active companion as you seek to better understand, heal and move through vary aspects of life.

The Approach. While healing is foundational to my work as a therapist I also seek to expand my clients lives. Opening doors that may have been shut or hidden. Finding ways to experience the full spectrum of the human experience.

Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your journey towards healing and self-discovery. I look forward to having the opportunity to meet and work with you!

Therapy with Harry Green

Quality, Competent Care.

My Training: As a Supervised marriage and family therapist, I have completed my masters of science in marriage and family therapy and now have the honor to further my education through supervision with an established marriage and family therapist, Ashley Subuh. Education has always been a passion of mine and you can frequently find me researching a variety of topics. I believe healing happens holistically so much of my learning exceeds just mental health techniques but understanding how social connection, art, experiences and new endeavors affect us.

My Client Populations and Demographics: I value working with people of all backgrounds, ages, races, ethnicities, genders, and sexualities. All people are welcome in my therapy room! I value inclusivity and work to create an emotionally safe environment where anyone can feel comfortable sharing their story, thoughts, and feelings.

My Therapeutic Delivery: As someone with a bi-cultural background, I understand the importance of flexibility and staying connected across distances. At times, I travel back to England to be with loved ones, and thanks to today’s technology, I’m able to maintain a consistent therapeutic schedule no matter where I am. You’ll always have the choice between in-person sessions in Kansas City or telehealth sessions that fit your lifestyle. If this hybrid approach doesn’t feel like the right fit, that’s okay—there will always be plenty of notice and space to plan for a short pause when needed. My goal is to create continuity and stability in our work together, while respecting your comfort and preferences.

Harry’ Specialties

At the heart of my work is relationships, not only the ones we have with partners, family, and friends, but also the relationship we hold with ourselves, with our work, with our passions, and with the seasons of life we move through.

  • So many of us reach a point where we no longer recognize the person in the mirror. Maybe you have spent years meeting everyone else’s needs, or maybe life has pulled you so far off course that you feel disconnected from your own voice. Together we will slow down and uncover the parts of you that have been overlooked, creating space for you to reconnect with your authentic self.

  • Transitions are a natural part of life, yet our culture rarely gives us room to process them. Whether you are leaving college, stepping into retirement, or adjusting to a new role in a relationship, these shifts can feel disorienting. I believe it is important to both grieve what is ending and intentionally choose what to carry forward. In our work, we will explore who you have been, who you are becoming, and how to move into the next stage with clarity and care.

  • Few experiences feel lonelier than being next to someone you love and feeling unseen. Many couples I meet still have deep, unconditional love for one another, but the “in love” connection feels buried under the weight of daily life. I help couples create a safe space to access vulnerability, speak what feels unsaid, and invite each partner to both see and be seen. My hope is that your relationship becomes a place of acceptance, intimacy, and renewal.

  • Have you lost enjoyment in activities that once fulfilled you? Has that dream job become some thing you just get through? Do you find yourself counting down the days to the weekend starting Monday morning. You may be experiencing burnout. This is a tough thing many of us go through, let’s be honest life can be exhausting. I have found so much success in rebuilding the experiences that refuel us. Not just the rest you get from sleep both those activities or interactions that reset our nervous system and fill up our tanks so we can not just get through our work weeks but thrive. In my work I utilize self care not just as a quick check box but truly something we spend time on, getting creative and finding ways to constantly expand our tool box for. When that “mindless scrolling” can be self care with the right intentionality. Let’s get you scheduled and rebuild that routine to serve you.

  • Do you have a hard time making decisions? What job should I take? Where should I invest my time? Are these friends right for me? Our modern world can be so intoxicating with the external influences of what we “should be doing” while these influences can be guided they should never dictate us. Whether the next trend is to work out 6 days a week or waking up at 5am for “the most productivity” I can tell you from my experience as a therapist that life IS NOT a once size fits all. Your unique. There’s only one you. If we drift through life grasping onto all of these external influences we rob ourselves of our unique experience. What’s that internal being need. Let’s pull from what the world can offer and create the perfect cocktail for you.
